CanSatLab lab network

Coming...
Our story
CanSatLab was founded by Örs Hunor Detre, one of the leading developers of the James Webb Space Telescope, in 2024.
Our goal is to create and operate a laboratory network spanning Hungary, involving universities, companies, and individuals.
Behind the project is an unprecedented collaboration, with 8 laboratories from 9 universities joining in the first months,
recognizing the need and value of the program; and many companies have offered their help.
For the 2025 CanSat Hungary competition, we started with 13 labs, where 20 teams received significant professional help.

Our labs
The basic requirement for the labs is to have at least one soldering iron and a 3D printer,
but most labs have much more than that. Students have the opportunity to get to know high-tech
equipment such as a metal 3D printer or a robotic electronic panel maker. In addition to the equipment,
there are many great professionals who help the work, whose knowledge is already a treasure!

My part
I’ve joined the creative team of the lab network in the summer of 2024. Since then, Since then I’ve
been developing the lab locator map on the website to make it easy for everyone to find the nearest lab,
and I also do other related work.
